Use a foundation that matches your skin tone. Beauticians
advice many women to use matte & long lasting foundation
on their wedding. A MATTE FOUNDATION will last a lot longer
than a regular or sheer foundation. As told earlier the
selection of foundations should be based on the complexion
of your skin. Basically brides should try foundation
that has YELLOW UNDERTONES but for a dark skinned women,
a foundation with a SLIGHT BLUE CAST works best. If
your complexion is medium toned choose a foundation
with a RED-YELLOW TINGE or else those having very light
skin, look for a SOFT GOLDEN SHADE. Normally foundation
comes in three shades LIGHT , MEDIUM & DARK. Making
the right choice becomes a prerequisite here.
The foundation should properly merge with the skin tone
so that no artificial effect is left behind this could
be done with the help of a sponge or by your fingers.

| BLUSHES |
The BLUSHES
on the bride's cheeks add more color to the face. There
are different forms of blushes available in the market
like blushes in the powder , gel & cream form. THE
POWDER form is sold the most and spreads easily and looks
natural. THE GEL form could be applied but it will do
the job of washing away all your foundation but if blended
properly will do wonders to your face. THE CREAM form
becomes very thick at times and is rarely used.
The colors that are more sort after are APRICOT, ROSE,
AND SOFT PINK which are in fashion. Those having medium
or dark tones can try out colors like DARK ROSE, CURRANT
& PLUM. Medium to dark skin tones look best with DEEP
BLUSH TINGE of DARK ROSE, CURRANT, AND PLUM SHADES. Blushes
of BRONZE shade are also used but a hint of color should
be used specially for a bride on her wedding .
The blush is always applied to the apple of the cheeks
and then to the cheekbones. It gives the cheek a slim
impression especially for those having chubby cheeks.
Apply some of it on the chin & forehead .

| Eyes are the most prominent features of your face and
require artistic hands to beautify them and can be a difficult
section to master upon all by yourself if you are still
learning to put makeup on your eyes. |
| EYEBROWS |
| Eyebrows also need special attention . Go for threading
of the eyebrows to give it a good shape. Use eyebrow pencil
to make the eyebrows prominent and dark. Always put the

on your wedding. Since the hair on the eye lashes is very
delicate therefore be careful while using the curler.
You will have to keep the eye lash ends between the grooves
of the curler and squeeze and hold for some time to curl

| MASCARA |
| In order to give some volume to your lashes use the
mascara on the lashes. Mascaras give an additional length
to the lashes and the eyes become more defined and beautiful.
Always go for waterproof mascaras and should be applied
by giving light strokes from the base towards the rim
of the lashes. Sometimes while coloring the lashes a generous
amount of color is applied or a tiny bit of dried mascara
is left behind which can be removed through a mascara

| False lashes could be the ideal option if you are hesitant
to curl them. If you are wearing them for the first time
then practice putting them on before to avoid getting
any discomfort on using them on the wedding. |
| EYELINER |
| Eyeliners make the eyes more noticeable and the eyes
seem to appear bigger but it could be a difficult task
to put eyeliner if you are not in a habit of applying
them more often. If you are unable to do it all by yourself
then get it done by a makeup artist instead of attempting
yourself and messing up your eyes. But still practice
doing it and who knows you could be successful. Try using
brown eyeliners instead of a black one during the day
as black has more chances of getting smudged. It is very
important to use waterproof eyeliners.To line your eyes,
start from the outer corner. As you pull the liner brush
keep thickening the line so that your eyes look open and
large but never make it thick at the edge of the eye contours.
Use your liner right at the lash line and draw a line
to where your lashes thin out. You can try making short
lines and then joining them if you are not that expert.
The liner should always be applied with firm hands over
the contours of your eyes. The line should be a little
thick but avoid being too generous with the application.

a shimmering glow to it. Buy brushes with the right thickness
that can easily spread the shadow. Apply an eye shadow

Since lipstick has the tendency of getting eaten up and
loosing its color hence it should be long lasting. |

| Lip liners work as imparting definite shape to the lips

your lips using a nude pencil, or one that matches your

moisturized throughout the day. Lipcolors should always
be smeared on the lips by means of a lip brush and blotted
by a tissue in order to wipe of the extra color . Apply
lip gloss to get that extra shine. Make sure that the
lipcolor is applied properly and it should not bleed so
that you can really enjoy the moment of kissing the bride.
You should also keep one thing in mind that the lips complement
the eye so if you have worn a bright eye makeup then go
for a light lip color and vice-versa .
Now the question arises that what color goes well for
such an auspicious occasion as your wedding? The application
of the lip color depends on your skin tone. If your skin
tone is light apply NEUTRAL COLORS and LIP GLOSSES but
if the skin tone is dark lip colors of the BURGUNDY AND
BLACKBERRY shades give the lips the much needed seductive
touch on your wedding. Women with medium skin tones look
pretty in CURRANT OR RED, GLOSSES. To attract your groom
try flattering shades like CARAMEL and SOFT BROWN.
At the end of the day don't forget to remove the makeup
you have applied and moisturize it adequately. This allows
the skin to breath overnight .
